Description [edit section]

= Description =
When a test times out, it is halted immediately, without giving the test
a chance to run post_test, to gather partial results.
This is particularly annoying for batch tests, where many sub-tests may have run correctly, and for LTP, where (again) many sub-tests may have run correctly.

In general ftc does not distinguish whether a test was making progress or or was just hung (there's probably no general way to do this). However, it might be nice to handle this better.

maybe add something so that a timeout is handled by switching to post_test with an indicator that the test needs to wrap up and collect what information it has.
